Drilling Permits

Cenco Inc. of El Dorado is the operator and Sewell Drilling is the contractor for the Cook No. 1, 996 feet FWL and 2,166 feet FSL in Section 16-17S-5W in a wildcat field in Ashley County. Permit depth is to 4,950 feet in the Smackover Zone. Work began December 18.

Betsy Production Company of Magnolia is the operator and Sewell Drilling is the contractor for the Wilson No. 1, 1,017 feet FWL and 1,980 feet FSL in Section 17-16S-19W in a wildcat field in Columbia County. Permit depth is to 6,950 feet in the Smackover Lime. Work started December 20.

Completion

Jerry Langley Oil Corporation of Smackover completed the Vic-Hirsh “A” No. 28, 1,199 feet FNL and 280 feet FEL in Section 21-15S-15W in the Smackover Field of Ouachita County. Total depth was to 2,752 feet in the Graves Zone, with perforations between 2,418.7 and 2,419.2 feet. Daily production was 6 barrels. Work was finished September 20.

Recompletions

Arklatx Operating Company of Smackover has reported two recent recompletions.

The Catesville Unit 9-3 is located is Section 32-18S-15W in the Catesville Field of Union County. Total depth was to 6,730feet in the Cotton Valley Zone, with perforations between 6,681and 6,686 feet. Daily production is 2 barrels. Work was finished October 29.

The Fee “B” 1 is in Section 20-18S-17W in the Shuler Field of Union County. It was drilled to 6,790 feet in the Cotton Valley Field, with perforations between 6,982 and 6,988 feet. Daily production is 12 barrels. Work was finished November 19.

Workovers

Arklatx Operating Company of Smackover has completed two workovers, both in the Smackover Field of Union County.

The GML Taylor No. 2 was drilled to 2,682 feet in the Blossom Zone. Perforations were between 2,625 and 2,629 feet. Daily production is 2 barrels. Work was finished September 11.

The M. Hardy No. 7 was drilled to 1,975 feet in the Nacatosh Zone, with perforations between 1,961 and 1,963 feet. Daily production is 1 barrel. Work was finished October 5.
